Pretty fun but pretty hard. Art style is pretty neat. Good job!

I really like the art. the colors and the “80s bus seat” style are a perfect fit.

I like the jumping part of the sprite animation. How it conveys two legs from one blob.

I found the game a bit hard to read it would have been better if you made the background with less saturation, contrast or detail.

This is a really fun little game, and it's super cool how you made it on your own game engine. But, is the player's collider a capsule? The edges near spike pits seem very slippery, and it doesn't seem like it's on purpose. Just my opinion, but it is a much more annoying death when you slip into a spike pit when it seems like you'd stay on a ledge.

Thank your for playing! Hope you get fun!

To answer your question: No, it's a square. It might be the issue: the square is bigger than the visual sprite. So you might touch the spike while visually, it's not the case.

The visuals on this game are amazing, from the colors used to the use of parallax layers as an indicator of gravity. Really reminded me of the old plugin tv games that I had growing up.

My respects on the unique engine

Thanks!
Actually, I though about old TV show, from the 90's with very brillant colors.

for example:

Looks fun, but could you adjust the code so that it runs consistently no matter your fps? I can tell the game is running too fast for me and I am not able to get very far because of this

Did you Alt+Tab before trying the game?
If so, when going back to the game, the browser is trying to catch up missing frames 😅 (generating this way too fast FPS)

I'll try to spend some time soon on this issue, but as a workaround, just reload the page. It would work fix it! ♻️

I fixed the bug. ♻️ Reload the page to get the latest version of the game 🙂

💪 Thank for your feedback!

Wow that was so fast! Thank you so much!

My pleasure!
It was fast because someone already report this issue on my previous game (https://dwursteisen.itch.io/freezming)
So I got already this issue in mind. Pretty sure where it was located. I just needed to know how to fix it (and it was easy to do, so...)

Hope you enjoy the game at the normal speed 😆
